'Fight' between Modi government minister and opposition MP, language dispute flares up once again

Tamil Nadu language controversy: Controversies arise from time to time regarding Tamil and Hindi languages. Now once again a new dispute has arisen with Tamil Nadu regarding language. DMK leader and Rajya Sabha MP MM Abdullah on Friday (October 25) responded to Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu's letter written in Hindi in Tamil and said, “I did not understand a single word of the letter.” Let us tell you that the letter of the Union Minister was written regarding the questions raised regarding the quality and cleanliness of food in the train.

Don't understand Hindi: Abdullah

Sharing photos of both the letters on social media, Abdullah said, “I have often reminded the officers posted in the office of the Union Minister of State that I do not understand Hindi. Yet they still write and send letters in the same language.

In a post on Twitter, the DMK MP wrote, 'All letters from the office of the Minister of State for Railways are always in Hindi. I called the officials present in his office and said, I do not know Hindi. Please send the letter in English, but the letter was in Hindi. I have sent the reply in such a way that he can understand and act accordingly.

Request to Union Minister in Tamil

The DMK MP requested Union Minister Bittu in Tamil to send his letters in English from now on. Earlier in 2022, DMK had also targeted the Center and accused it of imposing Hindi. Earlier, Union Minister Amit Shah had said that Hindi should be accepted as an alternative to English instead of the local language. DMK President and Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin said that this will harm the integrity of the country.
