New Delhi : Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's wife Sunita Kejriwal on Friday congratulated the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) over the Supreme Court's decision to grant bail to her husband and wished for the release of other leaders lodged in Tihar jail.
The Supreme Court on Friday granted bail to Kejriwal in the corruption case related to the excise policy case. Former Delhi minister Satyendra Jain is in jail in a separate money laundering case of the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
“Congratulations to the AAP family,” Sunita said in a post on Instagram. “Congratulations for staying strong. We wish our other leaders are also released soon.” A bench of Justices Surya Kant and Ujjwal Bhuiyan granted Kejriwal the relief on a bail bond of Rs 10 lakh and two sureties. The Supreme Court directed Kejriwal not to make any public comment on the merits of the case.
