East Champaran, 26 October (HS). Sangrampur police station of the district raided a private warehouse near a school located on Bhawanipur Dhangarha Road and recovered illegal firecrackers and explosive materials worth lakhs of rupees.
Police station in-charge Alka Kumari said that in the light of the instructions of SP Swarn Prabhat, a raid was conducted on the information of keeping illegal firecrackers and explosive material in the warehouse. Fifty-five cartoon firecrackers and explosive material were recovered from there. Whose price in market value is said to be around twenty five lakh rupees.
The firecracker was recovered from the warehouse of Indra Enterprises. The recovered firecrackers and explosive material have been seized and an FIR has been registered against warehouse owner Santosh Jaiswal and the matter is being investigated. The raid was conducted under the leadership of Magistrate cum CO Atul Kumar Singh. The raid team included Inspector Rahul Kumar, Banafal Akshay Kumar, ASI KK Rai and armed police forces.
