Fifth Chitra Bharati Film Festival begins in Panchkula

Panchkula, 23 February (HS). The 5th Chitra Bharati Film Festival got off to a great start with the screening of eight short films, nine documentaries, 13 children's films and 17 campus professional (shorts films). Four special types of hi-tech theaters have been prepared for the three-day film festival organized at the Red Bishop Complex of Haryana Tourism Department, where a wide variety of films will be screened for the next two days. Out of these, the best 29 films will be given a cash prize of Rs 10 lakh, citation and trophy by the chief guest on behalf of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhna in the closing ceremony.

On the first day of the film festival, many stars of the cinema world were seen here, who also reviewed these films on their own basis during the screening. A total of 47 films were screened on the first day. This sequence started at 10:30 in the morning and continued till 5:30 in the evening. Audi-1, set up at the venue, screened shorts films, Audi-2 featured documentaries, Audi-3 screened children's films and Audi-4 screened campus professional (shorts films) along with two master classes in two sessions of the day. were held.

The special center of attraction in the first master class was Dr. Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, the producer and director of the famous serial Chanakya Fame and films like Pinjar and Mohalla Assi, which came on Doordarshan three decades ago. Apart from him, in the master class on the first day, Sandeep Bhutoriya and Anant Vijay, among other famous personalities of the film industry, shared their knowledge on film topics. The second master class on the topic 'Story to Cinema' was taken by Vivek Agnihotri, the famous director of the film “The Kashmir Files” and shared the nuances related to cinema with the trainees associated with different genres of film production.

Since the announcement of the fifth Chitra Bharati Film Festival of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana in Panchkula, the biggest wait ended today when the screening of films started one after the other in four different theatres. Probably, this was the first major effort of this kind, when the people of Haryana became a part of such a big event.

Let us tell you here that a total of 663 films in 25 languages ​​from 19 states of the country were entered in the fifth edition of Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana, out of which the screening of 133 films selected will continue till 25th February. That is, these films are directly included in the race for the award. With enthusiasm among the participants, there is a lot of curiosity till late evening of 25th March, because on the stage of the grand closing ceremony, the curtain will be drawn on who will hold the trophy along with 29 award winners.
