Fiancee who forced a man to commit suicide sentenced

Jaipur, July 1 (HS). Additional Sessions Court No. 3 Mahanagar II has sentenced Kiran Prajapat, the fiancée who forced a young man to commit suicide, to five years of imprisonment. Along with this, the court has also imposed a fine of fifty thousand rupees on this 22-year-old accused.

On behalf of the prosecution, the Additional Public Prosecutor told the court that Kishan Lal had committed suicide by jumping in front of a train on the Asalpur-Jobner railway line on February 6, 2021. The deceased's father had lodged a report with GRP, Phulera regarding the incident. In which it was said that his only son Kishan was engaged to the accused girl on October 11, 2021. The accused was unhappy with this relationship and she started harassing Kishan along with her lover. Apart from this, she also threatened to kill him if he did not break the engagement. Due to which he committed suicide. After the incident, when Kishan Lal's coaching bag was handled, a suicide note was found in it. In which Kishan accused the accused girl of forcing him to commit suicide. Taking action on the report, the police presented a charge sheet against the accused girl in the court. At the same time, the girl said in her defense that she had not harassed the deceased. In such a situation, she should be acquitted. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court found the girl guilty and punished her with imprisonment and fine.
