Incidents of drowning in Bihar Jitiya fast: The festival of Jitiya Vrat is celebrated for 3 days across the country, especially in Bihar. Meanwhile, people took a dip in the Ganga with faith. But on Wednesday, about 50 people have drowned in different cities during Jitiya bath. In which more than 40 people have died. In Aurangabad alone, 10 people died while bathing in the lake. Apart from this, accidents have also occurred in Champaran, Saran, Siwan, Patna, Rohtas, Arwal, Kaimur. The Bihar government has taken cognizance of these accidents and ordered an investigation. People have also been advised to be cautious.

8 children drowned in Aurangabad

The incident took place in Ithat village of Barun town and Kushaha village of Madanpur town. The bodies of four children were found in the pond of Kusha village and the Batane river passing through Unthat village. The deceased have been identified as Pankaj Kumar (8), Sonali Kumari (13), Neelam Kumari (12), Rakhi Kumari (12), Anku Kumari (15), Nisha Kumari (12), Chulbul Kumari (13), Lajo Kumari (15), Rashi Kumari (18).

People drowned in Motihari, Champaran, Rohtas

In Kalyanpur police station area of ​​East Champaran district, Upendra Kumar Yadav's 8-year-old son Shailesh Kumar and Sanjay Kumar Yadav's 5-year-old daughter Anshu Priya drowned in the Sunauti river. Parsauni village resident Ranjit Sah, his wife Ranjita Devi (35) and 12-year-old daughter Rajanandini Kumari drowned. Babulal Ram's 10-year-old son of Vishunpura village in Harsiddhi police station area died due to drowning. Manoj Patel's 10-year-old son Shivam Kumar and Khobhari Sah's 11-year-old son Vivek Kumar died in Daniyal Parsauna village of Champaran.

Anjali Kumari, daughter of Shivnarayan Rai, died in Amanabad Halkoria Chak village of Bihta police station area of ​​Patna district.
