Mumbai: One-India immediately suspended the female pilot on duty after drinking alcohol. This female pilot, famous as a celebrity pilot, was to go from Delhi to Hyderabad on 6th April in a Boeing 787 aircraft. But before the flight, his alcohol test was taken and it was found that he was drunk. Therefore he was suspended for three months.
According to the rules, before take-off and after landing, the pilot is tested with a breath analyzer to see whether he has consumed alcohol or not.
If a pilot or cabin crew comes to duty under the influence of alcohol and is caught for the first time, he is suspended for three months. If caught the second time, he will be suspended for three years. If caught a third time, his flying license is permanently revoked.
Last month, an airline was flying a plane from abroad to India while drunk. After checking for alcohol at the airport, he was caught and also suspended.
Action was taken against 33 pilots and 97 cabin crew for reporting for duty under the influence of alcohol during the first six months of 2023.
