Mumbai: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Maharashtra has extorted crores of rupees. He was arrested while taking a bribe of two lakhs.
Accused Meenakshi Bhakharao was posted as Payment and Provident Fund Superintendent in the Giri Zilla Parishad office in the Education Department.
In which two teachers were asked to pay a bribe of Rs. two lakh for releasing the arrears after the implementation of the Seventh Pay Commission. After this incident, a teacher approached the police and lodged a complaint. Based on the complaint, the ACB laid a trap and caught the female education officer and arrested her red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs. two lakh.
After this, the police registered a case against the female education officer under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and conducted further investigation.
