Bulandshahr, 15 July (HS). A female constable living in a rented house under Nagar Kotwali area in the district committed suicide by hanging herself. On receiving the information, the police reached the spot and recovered the body of the female constable hanging from the noose in the room and investigated. The police have found a suicide note from the room.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shlok Kumar said that Shashi, a resident of Kasganj, was a female constable of the 2016 batch. She was not married and was currently posted at a women's police station in Bulandshahr district. Here she was living alone in a rented house in Surya Nagar Pratham on Chandpur Road. It was the birthday of the child of the tenant living on the second floor of the same house, due to which the family members went to the room of the female constable to invite her at night. When there was no response on knocking the door, they looked inside through the window and found the body of the constable hanging from the fan with the help of a noose. They informed the police about this.
The police reached the spot, opened the door, took down the body of female constable Shashi hanging from the noose and investigated. During the investigation, the police found a suicide note. According to the police, the deceased female constable has mentioned mental stress in the suicide note. Currently, the police has collected evidence with the help of forensics, sent the body for postmortem and informed the family about the incident. The police has started further action by getting the suicide note examined by experts.
