Fed up with the 'indifference' of the government, the farmers blocked the roads, people are getting upset due to the protest, the government turned a blind eye!

Farmer protest: United Kisan Morcha (SKM) has announced to block major roads today in protest against slow procurement of paddy in Punjab. Farmers' organization says that despite repeated demands, there has been no improvement in paddy procurement. Farmers are blocking main roads around mandis across the state for 4 hours from 11 am to 3 pm.

SKM leader Raminder Singh Patiala said yesterday that the decision to block the roads was taken on October 19. It said that if the state government fails to ensure smooth procurement of paddy within 4 days, a major decision will be taken. The government has failed to take action.

Farmers protest in Jalandhar also

Highways have been blocked at 5 places in Jalandhar district. Jalandhar-Ludhiana Highway has been blocked in Paragpur. Along with this, Jalandhar-Ludhiana Highway in Phillaur, Bhogpur-Adampur Highway in Bhogpur, Jalandhar-Amritsar Highway in Kartarpur and Jalandhar-Bathinda Road in Nakodar have been blocked.

Farmers sitting on strike outside Abohar's Dana Mandi and raising slogans against the government. Meanwhile, one side of the road has been blocked. With this, the road on the other side has been opened for traffic on both sides. Passengers are facing problems due to jam.
