Dumka, 1 October (Hindustan Reporter). Fed up with his wife's infidelity and fighting with his in-laws, a young man committed suicide by hanging himself. The matter is of Rakhabani locality of Nagar police station area. The deceased has been identified as 35-year-old Pratap Kumar Ram.
After receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot at around 8 am on Tuesday morning, took possession of the body, conducted post-mortem and handed it over to the family members. The family members of the deceased allege that on the night of September 30, members of the in-laws came to Pratap's house, beat him and abused him and threatened to kill him. Due to which Pratap got fed up and was forced to commit suicide. A few days ago, he had gone to his in-laws' house near Kali Mandir, located in Kumharpada, Pratap Nagar police station area, to meet his daughter.

Ultimately, fed up with his wife's infidelity and the harassment from his in-laws, Pratap chose death and hanged himself from a string attached to the roof of the house. The young man used to support his family by running DJ Sound. The young man is the youngest among his three brothers. The family members have given a written application in the city police station in this regard, accusing in-laws Kiran Devi, Ranjan Kumar, Sikuram, Siku Ram and Reema Devi of harassment. The police have started investigating the matter and taking action.
