FC Goa beats East Bengal thanks to Bora Herra's first hat-trick | News India

Kolkata, 28 September (Hindustan Reporter). FC Goa's Spanish attacking midfielder Bora Herrara scored the first hat-trick of the Indian Super League 2024-25 season. With the help of his hat-trick, Gaurs defeated East Bengal FC 3-2 in the ISL 2024-25 season match played at Vivekananda Yuva Bharati Krirangan on Friday night. Herrara scored in the 13th, 30th and 71st minutes in FC Goa's first win of the season. Herra was declared player of the match for his brilliant hat-trick.

Spanish head coach Manolo Marquez must be feeling relieved by this victory of Goa. FC Goa has moved from tenth to fifth place in the table with four points from three matches, one win, one draw and one loss. At the same time, Spanish head coach Carles Cuadrat will be extremely disappointed with the third consecutive defeat of the Red and Gold Brigade. East Bengal FC remains at 12th position in the table without opening an account due to three losses in three matches.

The first goal of the match came in the 13th minute, when Spanish midfielder Bora Herrara gave FC Goa an early lead, making the score 1–0.
