Fatehpur, 07 September (HS). An AIMIM district president of the district was called to his in-laws' place in Auraiya district and killed by crushing him with a brick. The AIMIM district president had come to Auraiya on a call from a Hindu girl after court marriage. In this case, the police have arrested the accused mother-in-law and father-in-law.
Meraj Ahmad, a resident of a town in the Bindki police station area of Fatehpur district, was the district president of AIMIM. It is being told that the district president and Arvind, a resident of Babarpur Ashoknagar in Ajitmal police station area of Auraiya, knew each other. Both of them used to visit each other's place. During this time, Meraj started talking to Arvind's elder daughter Goldie and the closeness between them increased. As soon as Goldie's family got wind of this, the family got Goldie married to someone else. After this, Goldie, who returned from her in-laws' house, told this to Meraj. On this, Meraj reached Auraiya and called Goldie and both of them got married in court. After this, Goldie returned to her maternal home on 2 September. The family told Goldie that whatever happened was fine and called Meraj home.
When Meraj refused to go to his in-laws' house, his mother-in-law Jyoti said that you are our son-in-law. Upon this, Meraj reached his in-laws' house on September 4. After dinner, Goldie went to the room on the first floor. Mother-in-law Jyoti made Meraj drink some intoxicating substance due to which he fell unconscious on the ground. After this, father-in-law Arvind and his wife Jyoti killed Meraj by hitting him repeatedly with bricks on his head and on Thursday morning mother Jyoti left the house with daughter Goldie. After this, the body was covered with plastic in the basement of the house and in the evening Arvind informed the neighbours about the dead body lying there.
On the other hand, the local police reached the spot after getting information about the incident and made the photo of the deceased viral on social media to identify the body. The relatives of the deceased have identified the body as Meraj.
Ajitmal police station in-charge inspector said on Saturday that based on the complaint of the deceased's brother Hanjala, a case has been registered against the mother-in-law and father-in-law under relevant sections. Both have been arrested and further legal action is being taken in the case.
