Fatehabad: Youth arrested from Punjab for demanding ransom from shopkeeper | News India

Fatehabad, September 14 (HS). Taking action in the case of assaulting a shopkeeper in village Hijrawan Khurd and demanding ransom, Sadar police station Fatehabad has succeeded in arresting a youth from Punjab. The arrested youth has been identified as Khushpreet Singh son of Hardayal Singh resident of Tibbi Hari Singhwala, Punjab.

Police station in-charge of Fatehabad Sadar Kuldeep Singh said that on May 28, the police had registered a case on the complaint of Navneet Kumar, a resident of village Hijrawan Khurd. According to the complainant, he has a grocery shop on Hanspur Road in the village. Two youths came to his shop at night and started beating him as soon as they entered the shop and threatened to kill him if he did not give money. In this case, Sadar Fatehabad police registered a case and started further action. In this case, investigating officer ASI Ajit Singh has collected important clues and arrested an accused from Punjab and started interrogating him.
