Taking action in the case of cheating a youth of the district of Rs 39 lakh in the greed of commission by completing online tasks, Cyber Thana Fatehabad Police on Monday arrested an accused from Faridabad. The arrested youth has been identified as Rijul Walia son of Ajay Walia resident of Ludhiana.
In this regard, the Fatehabad Cyber Police Station had registered a fraud case on May 7. In the complaint, Jarnail Singh, a resident of Hamzapur village, said that he received a message on his Telegram app, which said that if he wanted to work online, he had to promote their properties online on the company's website MahindraNow.com and WorkMahindra.com, in return for which he would be given commission. After this, he joined the said online company and started working.
After this, in the name of completing the task, a total of 39 lakh 16 thousand 610 rupees were deposited from him from 29 March to 5 April. When he asked for his money back, his money was not returned. On this, he lodged a complaint about this on the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal. In this case, Cyber Crime Police Station Fatehabad Police registered a case and investigating officer SI Umed Singh has arrested an accused after gathering important clues and started interrogation.
