Fatehabad, 3 October (HS). In Mehuwala and Thuiyan villages of Bhattu area of the district, thieves broke the locks of two houses and stole jewelery and other items worth lakhs from there. In both the cases, Bhattukalan police registered a case on Thursday and started investigation. In the first case, in the complaint given to the police, Amit Kumar, resident of village Mehuwala, has said that last day he had locked his house and gone to work in the fields.
When he came back home in the evening, he saw that the lock of his room was broken and all the stuff in the room was scattered here and there. When he checked the belongings, he found that unknown thieves had stolen a pair of silver anklets, a silver chain, cash worth Rs 6700 and a mobile phone from the room.
On this, first he inquired around on his own level but when nothing was found about the thieves, he lodged a complaint with the police.
In the second case, in the complaint given to the police, Ravi Kumar, resident of village Thuiyan, has said that last day he was sleeping with his family in the verandah of the house.
When he woke up in the morning, he saw that the gate of his room was open and the lock kept in it was missing.
The stuff kept in the box was also scattered here and there. When he checked the belongings, it was found that unknown thieves had entered his house and 2 gold rings, 5 silver coins, 1 silver coconut and cash worth Rs 40 thousand kept in the box were missing.
On this, first he searched around for the thief but when nothing was found, he lodged a complaint with the police. In this matter, the police have registered a case against unknown thieves and started investigation.
