Fatehabad, 28 September (HIST). The District Bar Association has announced to boycott the court of Fatehabad Deputy Commissioner Mandeep Kaur, accusing her of misbehaving with lawyers.
The Bar Association says that the DC has misbehaved with the executive members, while the lawyers are facing problems due to non-fixing of their court timetable.
Fatehabad Bar Association President Pradeep Beniwal, Secretary Kamlesh Vashishtha and Finance Secretary Mahendra Bagadia have also complained about this matter to the Sessions Judge on Saturday, while a complaint has also been sent to the Commissioner and the Financial Commissioner.
The Bar Association has called a General House meeting on September 30 to decide the future strategy in this matter. The District Bar Association alleges that lawyers are facing problems due to non-fixing of DC court's timetable.
On Friday, the DC Court reader called the lawyers at 12 noon, but the DC did not come till 1:30 pm. After this Reader asked the lawyers to come back at 3 o'clock, but the DC did not reach even till 4 o'clock. Angered by this, the executive of the Bar Association met the DC and demanded to fix the timing of the court, so that the lawyers can also attend the hearing of their other cases.
The Bar Association alleges that during this time DC Mandeep Kaur said that you people are wasting my time. I would hear the case as per my time and schedule and after that she left her office. Angered by this attitude, the Bar Association held a meeting and decided to boycott the DC court.
