Fatehabad: Hundreds of farmers took to the streets with their demands and surrounded the Mini Secretariat

Fatehabad, 10 May (HS). On Friday, farmers demonstrated in the city on the call of Turban Sambhal Jatta Kisan Sangharsh Samiti regarding various problems of farmers. Hundreds of farmers protesting from the grain market reached the mini secretariat and surrounded the secretariat and raised slogans against the administration. Farmers closed both the gates of the Mini Secretariat.

The demonstration was led by Mandeep Nathwan, head of Turban Sambhal Jatta Kisan Sangharsh Samiti. Before this, Kisan Mahapanchayat was also organized in the grain market. State General Secretary Sandeep Siwach conducted the Mahapanchayat stage. National leaders of United Front Kulwant Singh Sandhu, Buta Burj Gill, Ruldu Mansa, Suresh Koth, Vikas Sisar, Jagdeep Olakh, Sukhwinder Singh etc. also addressed this Panchayat. As soon as information about the farmers' protest was received, Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal reached there along with SDM Rajesh Kumar and talked to the farmers. There was a lot of anger among the farmers that when hundreds of farmers reached the Mini Secretariat on Thursday with their problems, the DC did not even meet them.

Deputy Commissioner Rahul Narwal reached among the farmers protesting outside the Mini Secretariat to talk to them and listened to the problems of the farmers. The talks between the district administration and farmer leaders took place in a positive atmosphere and the district administration has assured the farmers that their legitimate demands will be considered by the administration. Farmer leaders expressed satisfaction over the efforts of the district administration to find a solution to their problems through talks.
