To ensure that the entire election process of the assembly elections is conducted in a free, fair and peaceful manner, the SST team is keeping a strict watch on the movement of illegal liquor and illegal cash by setting up blockades in the district. The SST teams are vigilantly checking the vehicles coming and going by setting up checkpoints.
DC and District Election Officer Mandeep Kaur said that by putting up blockades at various places in the district, strict vigil is being kept on the vehicles coming and going and all the vehicles are being sent forward after thorough checking. She said that the district administration is completely strict to ensure compliance of the Model Code of Conduct regarding the assembly elections. In view of the assembly general elections, keeping an eye on the supply of illegal liquor, use of money power and other undesirable activities, the SST and other police administration teams are vigilantly performing their duties on the district border and the district administration is also running an intensive vehicle checking campaign in collaboration with the police department. For this, checking barriers have also been installed across the district where checking and monitoring is being done 24 hours a day.
District Election Officer Mandeep Kaur said that if a person receives an amount of more than 50 thousand rupees, he will have to tell where the money came from? Where is he taking this money. She has appealed to the people of the district not to travel with an amount of more than 50 thousand rupees.

He warned that no one should use any kind of illegal metal, liquor, opium, ganja-charas including illegal weapons, strict action will be taken by the SST team of the district administration against those who do so. At the same time, the programs of political parties are being covered by the FST team and a close watch is being kept to ensure strict adherence to the model code of conduct.
