Fatehabad, September 14 (HS). Cyber fraudsters duped the father of a minister's son of a college girl of Rs 15,000 by telling him that she had cheated him. When the girl returned home from college, the whole matter turned out to be false. The farmer who was cheated lodged a complaint with the police. The police have registered a case on Saturday and started searching for the fraudster.
In a complaint given to the police on Saturday, Ramchandra, a resident of Gorakhpur village, said that his 16-year-old daughter studies in Government College Bhuna. Ramchandra said that a few days ago he received a call on his mobile and the caller said that his daughter, along with two other girls, had committed a fraud of money on his phone with a minister's son. The minister's son lodged a complaint about this, after which his daughter has been arrested from the college while the DGP has taken the two other girls. When he asked to talk to his daughter, the caller made him talk to a crying girl, after which he got scared. After this, the caller said that if he wants to save his daughter, then put 35 thousand rupees on the number given by him. Ramchandra said that after this he gave 15 thousand rupees in cash to a young man and got 15 thousand rupees transferred from his phone to the number given. After this, the caller threatened him that if he took any legal action against them, they would kill his daughter. In the afternoon, when his daughter returned from college, he asked her about this. On this, his daughter denied any such incident. Ramchandra said that after this he came to know about the fraud done with him and he lodged a complaint with the police. The police have registered a case and started investigation in this regard.
