Fatehabad: Awareness campaign regarding lane driving on National Highway

Fatehabad, 23 March (HS). As part of the campaign being run with the aim of preventing loss of life and property in road accidents, Fatehabad Traffic Police conducted a special awareness campaign to make drivers aware of lane driving and driving in the wrong direction.

Under this campaign, traffic police teams issued challans to 86 vehicles for violating lane driving rules by heavy vehicles during vehicle checking at different intersections of main roads across the district. Fatehabad Traffic Police's campaign for road safety and safe travel will continue. Traffic police station in-charge Inspector Kaptan Singh said that the police will continue to take action as per rules against drivers involved in lane driving and wrong direction driving in relation to heavy vehicles.

Under the direction of Fatehabad Police Superintendent Aastha Modi, various teams across the district were made aware about traffic rules, lane driving and drivers driving in the wrong direction during vehicle checking. Police told the drivers that during lane driving, all slow moving vehicles like trucks, buses etc. should be kept in the bye lane. Fast moving vehicles should be kept in the right lane. Whenever a driver changes lanes, always use turn indicators. Also, road vehicle drivers should follow traffic rules and drive carefully during fog.
