Fatehabad, September 19 (HS). The court of District and Sessions Judge Deepak Agarwal, while hearing a case of snatching on Thursday, sentenced the accused Balvinder alias Kali son of Amar Singh resident of Gurunanakpura Mohalla Fatehabad to 5 years imprisonment and a fine of 25 thousand rupees under Section 379A and 34 of the Indian Penal Code for snatching a gold earring from an elderly woman.
The case was argued on behalf of the prosecution by Deputy District Attorney Arun Kumar. District Attorney Devendra Mittal said that on March 31, 2021, Jyoti Rani had lodged a complaint at the Bus Stand Chowki, City Police Station Fatehabad that two youths had snatched her grandmother's gold chain and fled.
