Jammu and Kashmir elections: The date of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections has been announced, elections will be held in three phases. Voting for the first phase will be held on 18 September, second phase on 25 September and third phase on 1 October. The result will be declared on 4 October. After the date of Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections was announced, National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah said that 'I always hoped that elections would be held, it has been many years since the government was formed in the state, there should be public representatives there who will solve the problems of the people. That is why the Supreme Court also said that elections have to be held by the end of September.
