Farmers blocked roads at many places including the National Highway and drivers had to face a lot of problems. However, the police made arrangements to divert the traffic through an alternative route. Farmer leader Balbir Singh Rajewal said that despite the assurance of easy procurement of paddy by the state government, farmers are facing problems in the market. Farmers raised slogans against the central government as well as the state government.
