Organic farming does not reduce agricultural production. While talking to the farmers of Gandhinagar district today, Governor Acharya Devvrat said that the farmers should leave aside false worries and adopt natural farming by following the five dimensions with full honesty. Organic farming does not reduce production, cost of farming reduces, price of agricultural produce is also higher, farmers’ income increases, soil fertility also increases, people’s health also improves. Healthy grains and vegetables. The soil level increases and the problem of climate change also reduces.
A natural farming seminar was organized today at Bhadol village of Kalol taluka as a joint initiative of Gandhinagar district administration and Atma Project, Gandhinagar. While interacting with the farmers of Gandhinagar district, Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat ji said that Prime Minister Shri Narendra Bhai Modi has constituted the National Natural Farming Mission with the aim of getting the farmers across the country to adopt natural farming and also allocated special funds for it. Is. India’s Cooperation and Home Minister Shri Amitbhai Shah is also emphasizing that all the farmers in his constituency should do organic farming. Organic farming is the way to make our next generation happy.
Governor Acharya Devvrat ji, while allaying the fears of the farmers, said that there is a huge difference between natural farming and organic farming. Organic farming results in less production. The cost of farming also does not reduce. Due to increase in condemnation, farmers have to work harder. Not only this, the use of cow dung in large quantities produces carbon dioxide and extremely dangerous methane gas, which harms the environment. Whereas natural farming is a method which can be done only with cow dung and cow urine at very low cost. Organic farming significantly increases the number of soil microbes, earthworms and friendly insects, which increases organic carbon in the soil. Soil fertility increases significantly, resulting in higher yields with better quality. Since the price of organic agricultural produce is also high in the market, farmers should adopt organic farming as soon as possible without any fear.
Cautioning against indiscriminate use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, Governor Shri Acharya Devvrat ji said that the land has become desolate due to indiscriminate use of chemicals. Due to high salt content in chemical fertilizers, there has been a huge decrease in soil fertility, resulting in no increase in production despite the use of very large amounts of chemical fertilizers. Farmers’ expenses are increasing. When nitrogen in chemical fertilizers comes in contact with carbon dioxide in the air, a poisonous gas called nitrous oxide is formed in the air. This nitrous oxide is 312 times more dangerous than carbon dioxide, resulting in serious harm to the environment. The incidence of serious diseases is also increasing due to consumption of poisonous food and vegetables. If this continues then even more serious consequences will have to be faced.
Acharya Devvrat ji said that through the Atma project, free training on natural farming methods is being provided by GameGam Master Trainers across the state. Village Sarpanches should come forward for the welfare of the farmers of their village and try to ensure that all the farmers get training in natural farming methods. He stressed that farmers should do organic farming in at least one-fourth of their land and said that they should adopt organic farming at least for their families. Rear an indigenous cow, if you do not have a cow, then get indigenous cow dung and cow urine from a nearby cage- cowshed or from a neighboring farmer. ‘The first happiness he found himself.’ The earth will become gold as soon as we adopt natural farming. You will get double the yield of what you sow. Adopt natural farming, you will also be saved and will also save people.
At the beginning of the seminar, District Collector Mehul Dave said in his welcome speech that there are about 188 villages in Gandhinagar district, where more than 75 farmers are doing organic farming. He called upon the farmers to become self-reliant by adopting natural farming. Gandhinagar District Panchayat President Mrs. Shilpaben Patel and Kalol MLA Laxmanji Thakor were also present on this occasion. Late District Development Officer B. J. Patel proposed the vote of thanks.
