District President of Bharatiya Kisan Union Chunnu Singh Tikait said that this matter is going on in Amethi for the last three months. In Amethi, crores of rupees are being defrauded to the government due to the collusion of land mafia and government employees. Regarding this, we had already complained to the senior officials of the district. An investigation was conducted by the officials, but the Tehsildar, Lekhpal and lawmen in the Tehsil are misleading the officials by presenting wrong and false reports. Due to this the land mafia is getting protection and they are also being protected.
Making serious allegations against the Tehsildar, the District Head said that he meets the same people from where he gets the cream. He does not have time to meet farmers and farmer representatives of the area. Tehsildars are saving their employees and land mafia by indulging in corruption. Today we have given a memorandum while protesting in Amethi Tehsil demanding the suspension of the Tehsildar.
Deputy District Magistrate Amethi Ashish Kumar Singh said that a memorandum of Bharatiya Kisan Union was taken, this memorandum was addressed in the name of the District Magistrate. Whatever points have been given in this memorandum, the problem will be resolved soon by discussing with the farmers' organization.
