Farmer protest news: The farmers who failed to enter Delhi have once again prepared the strategy of their agitation. The 'Delhi March' of farmers, which started on 13 February, could not proceed beyond the Shambhu border of Haryana. In such a situation, farmer organizations have now prepared a new strategy regarding their demands.
Farmer leaders Sarwan Singh Pandher and Jagjit Singh Dallewal on Sunday (03 March) appealed to the farmers across the country to reach Delhi on 6 March and protest. Along with this, farmer leaders have also called for 'Rail Roko' movement for four hours across the country on March 10 in support of the movement.
Farmer leaders said that the farmers camping on the border of Punjab and Haryana will start marching towards Delhi “peacefully” on March 6. He also announced that the protesting farmers will resume their agitation with a nationwide 'Rail Roko' on March 10 from 12 noon to 4 pm.
In fact, Pandher and Dallewal reached Baloh village in Punjab, where they visited the ancestral home of a farmer who had recently died during an encounter. Here he said that until the Center does not fulfill their demands, the farmers will intensify their agitation at the existing protest sites.
Farmer leader Pandher said that our movement will continue until the demands are met. Farmers from far-flung states, who cannot reach by tractor trolley, will have to go to Delhi by train and other means of transport.
He said this would also make it clear whether the government allows entry to those farmers who go without tractor trolley. The agitation in Shambhu and Khanauri will continue as before and will be intensified. He said all panchayats in Punjab should pass resolutions in support of the farmers' demands and the Center is using “all tactics” to stop their 'Delhi Chalo' march.
Let us tell you that the 'Delhi Chalo' march of more than 200 farmer organizations including United Kisan Morcha and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha had started on February 13 to put pressure on the Center to accept several demands. However, the protesting farmers are stuck at Shambhu and Khanauri border points between Punjab and Haryana after their movement was stopped by security forces.
