Mirzapur, March 01 (Hindustan Reporter) For the first time, wheat procurement started from March 1 at purchasing centers across the state. On the first day on Friday, 7141 farmers registered online for wheat purchase in Vindhyachal division.
Divisional Food Controller Vindhyachal Division Prabhakant Dwivedi said that 7141 farmers including 3793 in Mirjapur, 1128 in Sant Ravidas Nagar and 2220 in Sonbhadra have registered online. Out of these, the area of 3857 farmers has also been verified.
Senior Marketing Inspector of Food Department Surendra Pal Singh and Rajkumar Singh contacted the purchasing center market committee of Mirzapur and farmers contacted the purchasing center in Haliya to sell wheat. He informed that the procurement of wheat from farmers for selling wheat in the procurement year 2024-25 started from March 1 at 96 purchasing centers. Wheat will be purchased from farmers at the rate of Rs 2275 per quintal. Farmers can register and renew themselves online through cyber café or mobile. Farmers who have registered to sell paddy will not have to register again, they will only have to renew it. OTP based registration is being done for wheat sale. Register by entering your mobile number and filling the OTP received through SMS. The farmer will have to fill the details of himself or the nominated member and feed the Aadhaar number.
