Jalaun, 17 August (HS). A farmer in Kuthaund police station area had gone to his fields on Friday to feed fodder to the animals. While returning in the evening, he was crossing the drain when his foot slipped and he fell into the drain. He died due to drowning in the drain. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and with the help of divers, the body was taken out and it has been sent for Panchnama.
It is noteworthy that the entire incident took place in Atrachala village of Kuthaund police station area. Shivveer Singh (50), son of Chandan Singh, a resident of this place, had gone to the fields on Friday to feed his animals. While returning home in the evening, his foot slipped on the culvert built on the drain and he fell into the drain. The villagers informed the farmer's family about this. On receiving information about the incident, the local police also reached the spot. On Saturday morning, with the help of local divers, the farmer's body was taken out of the drain. The police took legal action and took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem.
