Faridabad: Three accused PO, who were absconding for 18 years in dowry case, arrested

Faridabad, 16 April (HS). Crime Branch 56 in-charge Sheeshpal's team has arrested the absconding accused in the dowry case of 2005. Giving information on Tuesday, police spokesperson Sube Singh said that the names of Baljeet, Rajo Bai alias Lado and Goga Bai are included in the arrested accused. All three accused are residents of Mewada village in Sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh. A dowry case was registered against the accused in October 2005.

The accused appear to be sister-in-law and brother-in-law of the victim woman. As soon as the case was registered, the accused fled from the spot and started changing places to avoid being caught by the police. The accused were declared POs by JMIC Shri Pushpendra Kumar Yadav in August 2006. The Crime Branch team took further action in the case and arrested the three accused from JCB Chowk. The search is on for other accused in the case who will be arrested soon. After completion of the interrogation, the accused were produced in the court and sent to jail.
