Faridabad: Randomization is an important process for transparency in elections: Vikram Singh | News India

Faridabad, September 2 (HS). District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner Vikram Singh said that as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India, it is the duty and responsibility of the administration to conduct free and fair elections. Under the chairmanship of District Election Officer Vikram Singh, the first phase of the randomization process of EVM, BU, CU, VVPAT was completed in the meeting room of the Mini Secretariat on Monday in the presence of the Returning Office and representatives of various political parties.

The District Election Officer said that randomization is a very important process to maintain transparency and fairness of the assembly general elections, which is done in the presence of the political parties contesting the elections. This process is completely computerized. He appealed to the representatives of all political parties to strictly follow the instructions issued by the Election Commission of India. He said that the number of polling stations in the assembly constituencies of Faridabad district has now increased to 1650. This time 181 new booths have been made. This will facilitate the general public to vote near their homes. Apart from this, the BLO will also inform the voters through the Queue Management App about how many people are in line for voting, so that there is not too much crowd at the polling station at one time and the voter does not have to wait long to cast his vote. District Election Officer Vikram Singh said that under the randomization process, the possibility of questions and objections arising on the process of EVM allocation is eliminated.

The list of numbers of all EVMs available in the district is recorded on the computer through the EVM Management System. The computer automatically distributes these machines among the constituencies, after which no political party can say that any machine has been intentionally sent to a particular constituency or booth. ADC Dr Anand Sharma, Additional Commissioner Municipal Corporation Swapnil Ravindra Patil, SDM Faridabad Shikha Antil, SDM Budkhal Amit Maan, CTM Ankit Kumar, Ashwani Gulati and Manish Gulati from BJP, Rahul Sardana from Congress Party, Virender Singh Dangwal from CPM Party, RS Rautela from INLD Party, Prem Singh Dhankhar from JJP Party, Dilraj Gaur from AAP Party and officials of Election Department were present in the meeting.
