Faridabad, September 14 (HS). Police has blocked different areas in Faridabad in view of the elections. During the blockade, from Friday morning till late night, police recovered 26 lakh 6 thousand rupees in Thana Sarai area. 2 kg 60 grams of gold and 2 kg 992 grams of silver were also seized. Inspector Rakesh said that in view of the elections, police and paramilitary forces have blocked different areas in the whole of Faridabad.
In view of this, during checking at Sarai Naka yesterday, car number HR 26 BE 0090 was driven by Shivanand Gupta, resident of 12/4 Main Mathura Road, Faridabad, from whose car cash of Rs. 1,82,560 was recovered. The second car number 16 SHW 9986 was driven by Shahid, resident of Alampur Dhauj. Rs. 3 lakhs were recovered from the car. The third car DL3CCS 6244 was driven by Sachin Goyal, from whose car Rs. 1,46,000 were recovered. The fourth car was driven by Jai Kathuria, resident of Jawahar Colony, from which Rs. 5,82,000 were recovered. The fifth car was driven by Harsh Ajay, resident of Faridabad, from whose car Rs. 7,00,000 cash was recovered. The fifth car P78 N6983 was being driven by Neeraj, resident of Baha police station, district Agra, from which 7,50,000 cash, 2 kg 992 grams of silver and 2 kg 60 grams of gold have been recovered. According to the guidelines of the Election Commission, no person can carry more than 50,000 cash in his car or any other vehicle. If he is found carrying more than 50,000 cash, the police will confiscate it and it will be returned only after giving full details after the elections.
