Fare fixed for hiring electric vehicles for election duty

Ranchi, March 29 (HS). Higher and detention charges for EV category vehicles have been fixed for the Lok Sabha General Elections-2024. The Transport Department has issued an order in this regard. The department had already fixed the higher end detention charge for petrol and diesel vehicles. Now the rates have also been fixed for electric vehicles, that is, if these vehicles are used for election duty, then they will have to pay the fixed rates in favor of the vehicle operators.

-Mahindra SUV 400 EV, Tata Tiago Nexon EV, Tata Tigor EV, AC cars: Rs 1470.

-Mahindra SUV 400 EV, Tata Tiago, Nexon EV, Tata Tigor EV, without AC: Rs 1280.

-Tata Punch EV, Tata Tiago EV, AC: Rs 1340.

-Tata Punch EV, Tata Tiago EV, non-AC car: Rs 1170.

-Electric Auto: Rs 620.

-E-rickshaw, e-cart: Rs 400.
