He was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Chennai due to a heart attack and died during treatment. This tragic incident has spread grief in the South Cinema Industry.
Daniel (48) complained of chest pain on Friday, after which he was admitted to a hospital in Kotivakam, Chennai. He died during treatment. His mortal remains have been taken to his home in Purasaivalakam for the last rites. Daniel's sudden death has shocked his family, fans and the Tamil film industry.
Daniel started his film career in 2002 with the Tamil film “April Madhathil”. He gained popularity with the film “Kaakha Kaakha” starring Gautham Menon and Surya-Jyotika. He was also seen in a negative role in Vetri Maran's film Polladhavan. He acted in “Vettayaadu Vilayadu”, “Yennai Arindhaal”, “Accham Yenbadhu Madamaida”, Thalapathy Vijay’s “Bairava”, Dhanush’s “Vada Chennai” and Vijay’s “Bigil”. “Ariyavan” was his last film.
Daniel Balaji was a great actor. He did films not only in Tamil but also in other South languages. He also worked in Malayalam, Kannada and Telugu films. After Daniel's death due to a heart attack, fans are paying tribute to him on social media.
