What is the whole matter?

A 26-year-old dancer has accused Remo D'Souza, his wife Liezel and five others of cheating, an official said. The victim dancer lodged a complaint at Mira Road Police Station in Mumbai on October 16.

Police have registered a case against Remo D'Souza and six others under sections 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating) and other sections of the Indian Penal Code. According to the complaint, the dancer and his group committed fraud between 2018 and July 2024.

According to the prosecutor, 'Remo and other accused pretended that this group was theirs and embezzled the prize money of Rs 11.96 crore won by this group.'

Apart from Remo D'Souza and Liesel D'Souza, Omprakash Shankar Chauhan, Rohit Jadhav, Frame Production Company, Vinod Raut, a policeman and a man named Ramesh Gupta have been accused in this case. Police say that the matter is being investigated.
