Veteran actress Smriti Biswas breathed her last at her home in Nashik at the age of 100 due to age-related complications. According to reports, Smriti Biswas was cremated on Thursday according to Christian rituals.

Smriti Biswas worked in Bimal Roy's 'Feli Aadmi', AR Kardar's 'Bhagam Bhag' with Kishore Kumar, Bhagwan Dada's 'Baap Re Baap', AN Banerjee's 'Humsafar' with Dev Anand in the 1950s. She showed her mastery in acting with Geeta Bali. She has worked in many films like Guru Dutt's 'Sailaab', V Shantaram's 'Teen Batti Aur Chaar Rasta', Raj Kapoor's 'Jagte Raho', BR Chopra's 'Chandni Chowk' starring Meena Kumari.

Started acting at the age of 10

Smriti Biswas started her career as a child artist at the age of just 10 with the Bengali film Sandhya. Smriti worked in many Hindi, Marathi and Bengali films. The veteran actress made her mark as a child artist and worked with many veteran actors and filmmakers. The actress then took a break from acting after getting married in 1960.
