Bettiah, 2 November (HS). Nautan police located in Bettiah police district has arrested a fake officer of the excise department along with a Beloro vehicle from South Telhua village. The arrested fake officer is said to be Sunil Kumar, resident of Chhorahan village of Bettiah Muffasil police station area. Nautan police said that half a dozen youths from Beloro vehicle number BR22BC5126 posing as Excise Department officials and police reached the house of Sudhir Kumar, a resident of South Telhua, yesterday night at around 10.30 pm. And pretending to be Excise Department police, they demanded Rs 50,000. Did. Said to arrest if not given. When Sudhir raised an alarm, people nearby came running where about five people ran away. And people caught Beloro and the driver and informed the police station.
The police, which reached the news of the incident, took Beloro and the driver into their custody. Where the police recovered the name plate of the excise department and handcuffs from the vehicle. Police said that after strict interrogation of the driver, it was found that the Beloro belonged to the said driver. On which five people posed as police and officers of the Excise Department and collected illegal money from the people. Police is taking action to identify all the absconding people.
