In the digital age, cases of fraud and love affairs are being exposed through social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp. In the same sequence, a girl from Bihar became friends with a boy from Arraha village of Saurbazar police station area through Facebook. Which slowly turned into love. Slowly the love blossomed and both were eager to meet each other. The boy expressed his desire to meet the girl. The girl accepted it and went to meet the boy living in a rented house in the locality located in the eastern part of Super Market of Saharsa. This sequence continued continuously. Meanwhile, the girl herself told that she was pregnant and pressurized the boy for marriage.
First the boy coaxed and procrastinated and then flatly refused to marry. Here the girl, troubled by her pregnancy, first tried to hide the matter out of fear of public shame. Then she told her mother. The mother of the victim also pressured the boy to marry. On his refusal, she went to the women's police station and pleaded for justice. On getting information about the incident, the woman police station in-charge registered a case and immediately arrested the accused youth. The victim was brought to the Sadar hospital for medical examination where after getting the medical done, the police started further action.
In this regard, SDPO Sadar Alok Kumar said that the victim alleged that the accused sexually exploited her by luring her with marriage. Now when she became pregnant, the boy refused to marry her. In the light of the girl's application, the police registered a case and took immediate action, arrested the accused youth and brought the victim to Sadar Hospital for medical examination. Where after getting the medical done, she was sent to Saharsa Court to record the statement of 164. The arrested accused will be sent to jail. At present, the police is busy getting the medical examination of the victim done in Sadar Hospital. But the way the victim was sexually exploited by luring her with marriage, it becomes a serious matter. There is a need to take strict action against the culprits in such cases so that no one takes such a step again in future.
