A major explosion took place in a gunpowder factory located in Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh on Saturday morning, in which one person has been reported dead. It is being told that many people may be buried under the debris. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the police and administration team reached the spot. At present, the work of removing the injured from the factory is being done. Some injured are being brought to Raipur for better treatment.
It is being told that the accident happened between 6 and 7 in the morning. The incident took place in the Special Blast Limited gunpowder factory located in Borsi village of Barla block. More than 800 people work in the factory. One of the injured workers referred to Raipur said that 8-10 people were present in the building where the explosion took place. We were in another building.
At present, the reasons for the explosion in the factory are being investigated. People are being kept away from the explosion site. This gunpowder factory of Bemetara is spread over a large area. After the blast, there is an atmosphere of panic among the nearby villagers. After the explosion, Barla SDOP immediately reached the spot.
The Chhattisgarh government has ordered a magisterial inquiry into the factory blast case. This information was given by Chief Minister Sai. Apart from this, the Chief Minister has also announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh to the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 each to the injured.
