Explanation sought from private university for not appointing diploma holders as teachers | News India

Jaipur, September 21 (HS). Rajasthan High Court has sought a reply from the state government and the Staff Selection Board for not giving appointment to the candidates who have done diploma from a private university of Uttar Pradesh after selection in Primary Teacher Recruitment-2022. The court has asked these officials why these candidates were not given appointment even after selection. A single bench of Justice Anoop Kumar Dhand gave this order while hearing the preliminary hearing on the petition of Manohar Lal and others.

In the petition, advocate Sunil Kumar Singodia said that the primary teacher recruitment was taken out by the Staff Selection Board in the year 2022. In which applications were sought from candidates holding two-year diploma. The petitioners participated and were selected. At the same time, during the document verification, he was made provisional saying that he has done this diploma from Global University of Uttar Pradesh. The petition said that the Staff Selection Board also sent its recommendation to the department for his appointment, but the state government put him in the provisional list without reserving the post. The petition said that he has done a diploma from a private university established through the Act. This university is also recognized by NCTE. Apart from this, according to the legal provisions, the university has the right to issue degree and diploma. The petitioners are selected candidates. If the department appoints other candidates on all the posts, then the petitioners will be deprived of appointment. Hearing on which, the single bench has sought a reply from the concerned officials.
