Katihar, 06 September (HS). Union Health and Family Welfare Minister JP Nadda and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar inaugurated 16 new health centers in Katihar district through video conferencing on Friday. These include Community Health Center, Additional Primary Health Center and Health and Wellness Center.
The inauguration of these new health centres will increase the health facilities for the people of the district and they will be able to get medical help in their nearby area. District Magistrate Manish Kumar Meena said that the construction work of more health centres in the district is in progress and they will also be inaugurated soon.
These health centres include community health centres, additional primary health centres and health and wellness centres. The community health centres will have various facilities like OPD, emergency services, operations, medical gas pipeline system. The additional primary health centres and health and wellness centres will have pharmacy, pathology, lab, minor OT and medical rooms.
The cost of construction of these health centres is Rs 20.98 crore. The District Magistrate said that continuous efforts are being made to expand health services in the district and this will continue in future as well.
