Exhibition organized on Partition Horrors Remembrance Day at six stations of Jhansi division | News India

Jhansi, 14 August (HS). An exhibition was organised on the occasion of “Partition Horrors” Memorial Day on Wednesday at six railway stations of Jhansi division, namely Veerangna Laxmibai Jhansi, Gwalior, Khajuraho, Lalitpur, Orai and Banda. The sad moments of the heart-rending partition of 14 August 1947 were depicted through an exhibition of pictures related to the partition at all the above stations.

At Veerangana Laxmibai Jhansi station, Divisional Railway Manager Deepak Kumar Sinha inaugurated the exhibition by cutting the ribbon along with freedom fighters and their family members. After this, the Divisional Railway Manager visited the “Partition Horrors” exhibition. The exhibition depicts the migration of people by trains at the time of Partition and reminds of the hardships faced.

During the program, Additional Divisional Railway Manager (Operations) RD Maurya, Chief Medical Superintendent Dr Kuldeep Swaroop Mishra, Senior Divisional Engineer (Coordination) Ashutosh Chaurasia, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Aman Verma, Divisional Personnel Officer Arun Singh Tomar, Assistant Personnel Officer Lavi Abraham and Public Relations Officer Manoj Kumar Singh were present.
