Sultanpur, 17 August (HS). Executive Engineer (rural) of Jal Nigam was beaten to death in Nagar Kotwali area. Police is investigating the case.
Superintendent of Police Somen Verma said that Santosh Kumar, a native of this place, was working as a Water Corporation Engineer (rural) in the district. He lived alone in a rented house in Vinobapuri. He was beaten to death by unknown people on Friday night. Police reached the spot and collected evidence with the help of forensic team. The family has been informed about the incident. Police has sent the body for postmortem and started investigating the case.
