The CBI and ED have accused Manish Sisodia of committing irregularities while revising the Delhi Excise policy, giving undue benefits to license holders, waiving or reducing license fees and issuing licenses without the approval of the competent authority.

Earlier, the bail plea of accused Manish Sisodia in the Delhi Liquor Policy case was heard on April 15. Meanwhile, investigating agency ED opposed the petition in the court and said that delay in hearing in serious cases cannot be the basis for bail for the accused.

On April 12, the court had issued notice to CBI and ED asking them to file their reply within a week. Sisodia has filed a petition demanding bail for the election campaign. On this, both the investigating agencies presented their arguments on Monday and opposed the bail petition. Now CBI's arguments in this case will be heard on April 20. After this the court will give its decision on the bail petition.
