Excise department recovered fake liquor in Dhanbad

Dhanbad, April 6 (Hindustan Reporter) On the instructions of Deputy Commissioner cum District Magistrate Madhavi Mishra, the Excise Department is running a campaign against illegal liquor traders in the district in view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024. In this series, the Excise Department team raided a house in Damodarpur on Saturday and recovered 19 boxes of fake foreign liquor.

Excise Department Inspector Jitendra Kumar said that the business of spurious liquor was going on in the house of a person named Neelkamal Dey. The liquor recovered from here was stocked only a day or two ago. He said that 19 boxes, approximately 171 liters of liquor, have been recovered from the spot. Its estimated market value is Rs 80 thousand.
