Excessive Water Intake: To stay healthy, do not drink more water than necessary, otherwise problems may occur!

To stay healthy, it is advised to consume water daily, but excessive consumption is sure to cause harm. In this condition, the brain struggles to function properly due to an excess of water in the brain cells, causing confusion and increasing pressure on the brain. This may result in severe headache, slow heart rate and high blood pressure.

Excessive water intake can cause hyponatremia, which can lead to sodium imbalance. Symptoms include swelling, confusion, and in severe cases, coma or death. It is important to recognize the symptoms of overhydration:

1. Color of urine:

– Urine becomes clear by consuming enough water.

– Urine may be pale yellow in color due to excessive hydration due to loose waste.

2. Frequent urination:

– Going to the bathroom 6-8 more times a day than usual indicates possible overhydration.

– Excessive alcohol or caffeine consumption can increase urination.

3. Nausea:

– Overhydration puts pressure on the kidneys, hindering the elimination of excess fluid.

-This may cause nausea and general discomfort.

4. Pain and swelling in hands and feet:

– Too much water can cause fluid retention due to pressure on the kidneys.

-There may be pain and swelling in hands and feet.
