Exam city slip for JEE Main Session 1 exam can be released anytime at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will be able to download it by entering application number and date of birth. According to the information bulletin, the exam city slip is to be released by January 7, 2025.
Important Dates and Exam Timings
- Admit Card Release Date: Three days before the examination.
- Exam Dates (Paper 1):
- January 22, 23, 24, 28, and 29, 2025.
- Exam Shift:
- First Shift: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon.
- Second Shift: 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
- Paper 2 (B.Arch and B.Planning):
- January 30, 2025.
- Timings: 3:00 pm to 6:30 pm.
Result and ranking process
- NTA Score Based Ranking:
- Rank will be released on the basis of best NTA score of both the sessions.
- Eligibility:
- Candidates securing top 2,50,000 ranks will be eligible for JEE Advanced.
- IIT Admission:
- You will get admission in IIT through JEE Advanced.
- It is mandatory to have at least 75% marks in 12th or be in the top 20 percentile in board exam.
JEE Main exam format
- Paper 1:
- Subject: Physics, Chemistry, Maths.
- Total Questions: 90 (30 questions from each subject).
- Format:
- 20 multiple choice questions.
- 10 numerical questions (now reduced to 5 compulsory questions).
- Paper 2:
- Course: B. Arch and B. Planning.
Rank determination on equal score
If two or more candidates have the same scores, the ranks will be decided in the following order:
- Maths marks: Whoever has more marks will get preference.
- Physics marks: Will be considered in the second phase.
- Chemistry marks: Preference in 3rd stage.
- Ratio of correct and incorrect answers.
- If the problem still persists, the same rank will be given.
Objective of JEE Main Exam
- Paper 1:
- Admission into B.E./B.Tech course.
- Institutes: NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs.
- Paper 2:
- Admission into B.Arch and B.Planning courses.
