Sri Muktsar Sahib: A person riding a scooter died after being hit by a speeding car near Sirhind Feeder Canal located in village Bhullar on Muktsar-Bathinda National Highway. The incident happened late Tuesday evening. The deceased has been identified as ex-serviceman Gursevak Singh, son of Gurjant Singh, resident of Rukhaala. According to the information, former soldier Gursevak Singh was going to his home on Muktsar-Bathinda Highway. When he was passing near village Bhullar Sirhind feeder, a speeding car number PB 03 V 9851 coming from behind hit the scooty hard. In the accident, the ex-serviceman riding the scooter died on the spot. The car has also been damaged in the accident.
On the other hand, after getting information about the incident, the police of Sadar Muktsar police station reached the spot and took the body into custody and kept it in the civil hospital for post-mortem. Action is being taken against the car rider who hit the scooter.
