Jhajjar, July 5 (HS). Brahmin Reservation Struggle Committee's youth wing president Manoj Kaushik and newly appointed district president Hemant Pandit Bahadurgarh said that the reservation given to four castes Brahmin, Bania, Punjabi and Rajput etc. on the basis of EWS should be classified on the lines of SC and BC. The delegation of the society will soon meet CM Naib Saini and raise its demand for classification in the 10 percent reservation of the upper caste by the government.
Talking to journalists at Bhagwan Parshuram Bhawan in Bahadurgarh on Thursday, Brahmin leaders said that efforts will be made to get 47 unemployed youths who have passed the government recruitment exam to join through EBPG. He said, it is a bitter truth that EBPG reservation in Haryana was given by the Congress government and taken away by the BJP government. But, BJP can compensate for it by doing classification.
Brahmin leaders said that on the lines of earlier reservations like SC-A SC-B and BC-A BC-B, reservation should be classified in EWS as well. Brahmin, Bania, Punjabi and Rajput should be kept in EWS-A and Jat, Sikh, Rod and Tyagi should be kept in EWS-B. Both should be given 5-5 percent reservation. To implement this, the Brahmin community will meet former CM and CM Nayab Saini and will strongly advocate to implement this classification formula of reservation. The state president of the committee said that the society will soon organize a Brahmin Maha Sammelan in Haryana.
