Looking at the ongoing turmoil in Maharashtra politics, it seems as if the entire web series is made of suspense. Earlier there was suspense regarding the CM and Deputy CM and now there is suspense regarding the Home Department. BJP wants to keep it with itself while Shinde is still adamant on the Home Department. Now amidst all this the time has come to take oath. Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as CM at Azad Maidan in Mumbai in the presence of PM Modi at 5.30 pm on Thursday. Along with this, Ajit Pawar and Eknath Shinde will take oath as Deputy CM. But before the formation of the government, the Home Department is still under pressure. Eknath Shinde said in the press conference on Wednesday that they should wait. Whatever happened before the formation of Maharashtra government, the entire sequence of events till now is worth understanding.

Pressure from Shiv Sena MLAs on Shinde regarding Home Department?
Actually, after much persuasion, there is talk that Shinde will become Deputy CM. But he also wants to keep the Home Department with himself. According to the information, Shiv Sena MLAs are also under pressure that the Home Department should remain with Shiv Sena under any circumstances. The MLAs argue that Shinde has already been the Chief Minister and in such a situation, not getting the Home Department along with the post of Deputy CM is like reducing his influence.

Fadnavis went to Shinde’s house
BJP sources said that Shinde had initially agreed to this, but under pressure from the MLAs, he repeated the demand of the Home Department. Amidst all this, Devendra Fadnavis met Shinde at his official residence Varsha on Wednesday. In the 40-minute conversation, Fadnavis tried to assure them that the party leadership would consider their demand.

Suspense on portfolio
The distribution of departments in the Grand Alliance is almost certain. But the decision as to who will hold the Home Department can be taken even before the swearing in. According to the information, BJP may get 20-22 departments, Shiv Sena may get 10-12 and NCP may get 8-10 departments. The Home Department is likely to remain with the BJP. But Shinde is not ready to leave it.

Everything seemed fine at the press conferenceā€¦
The interesting thing is that there was a light conversation between Shinde and Ajit Pawar in the press conference on Thursday evening. Meanwhile, both Shinde and Ajit Pawar enjoyed each other. When he was asked whether he would take the Home portfolio along with the Deputy CM, Shinde avoided the answer and said to wait till the evening, on which Ajit Pawar said that I will take the oath, he does not know. Shinde again hit back and said that Ajit Dada has the experience of abusing both morning and evening.

Preparation for swearing in
On the other hand, a special invitation letter has been prepared for the swearing-in ceremony. In which the names of Devendra Fadnavis along with his parents are also written. This time only 3 people will take oath in the ceremony. Whereas the list of remaining ministers will come later. There is suspense regarding the Home Department which can be resolved just before the swearing-in. The swearing in of the new government is taking place at Azad Maidan in Mumbai. More than 42 thousand people are expected to participate in this program. PM Modi, 9-10 Union Ministers, 19 Chief Ministers and Deputy CM will also be present.
